About Phil

Philomedia’s elephant is more than a design choice; it is a tribute to Philomena Howley (21 July 1953 – 20 December 2008), beloved aunt of our founder, Jason Howley. Philomena adored elephants for their quiet strength and gentle wisdom. By placing her favorite animal at the heart of our brand, we celebrate her spirit in every project we undertake. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

When Jason set out to build a creative studio rooted in empathy and purposeful storytelling, the elephant felt like the natural emblem—an ever-present reminder that great design begins with great heart.

Strength with Sensitivity: Elephants command respect, not through aggression, but through measured grace. That balance mirrors our commitment to pairing robust strategy with human-centered execution.
Enduring Memory: Elephants are famed for their long memories. Likewise, we endeavor to create work that endures—stories and visuals people carry with them well beyond a first impression.
Community First: Elephants thrive in tight social circles, caring for the young, the old, and the vulnerable. Philomena lived this ethos daily, and we reflect it by cultivating genuine, lasting partnerships with our clients.
Every time you see our elephant, we hope you’re reminded of Philomena’s legacy: to approach challenges with patience, to honor truth in storytelling, and to leave each person or project a little better than you found it.

Together we cover nine core disciplines—Digital Strategy, Content, Design, Production, Development, Payments, Consultancy, Training, and Public-Sector Marketing—yet our purpose stays constant: to serve as true partners, translating truth into digital marketing that performs.

  • Gentle Strength: We guide projects forward with calm confidence—no bluster, just steady momentum.
  • Truth-Led Craft: Genuine insights steer our creative and media choices, so every asset feels as authentic as the story behind it.
  • Transparent Partnership: Clear scopes, open pricing, and plain-language progress reports mean no surprises—only shared success.
  • Learning in Motion: Digital never stands still. Continuous upskilling lets us pass fresh thinking straight to our clients.

From early-stage start-ups to international public-sector initiatives, our work has helped clients win hearts, move metrics, and build brands people remember.
